Creative anthology out in time for summer

Creative Writing 2025 has officially been released before the sun sets on the academic year.

Traditionally an autumnal treat, this sparkling collection has broken with tradition and arrived just in time to mark the end of term with a celebratory literary flourish.

Drawn from the ever-popular KS3 Creative Writing Competition, the anthology gathers the best entries from Years 7, 8 and 9, each inspired by a writing task set by one of five departments: Classics, Design Technology, Geography, History and Religious Studies. Think Dido and Aeneas with a twist, Roman slaves with a voice or a gripping meditation on the problem of evil.

The final anthology features stellar writing from all five Year 7 classes, five Year 8 classes and six Year 9 classes, with the three overall champions taking pride of place. Many congratulations to Anirdeshya R (7SG), Yuchen H (8SG) and Elisabetta S (9D).

The next competition will begin in September, with a different look and a very different format. Watch this space...
