Novel costumes for World Book Day

The English Department invited Year 7 to dress up for World Book Day this year, and the result was an imaginative, colourful range of characters from across the genres.

Graphic novels were well represented alongside classic fiction, and Thing One and Thing Two from Dr Seuss could be found popping up here, there and seemingly everywhere!

A Wonka Bar from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Jane Austen's Emma and Ben from Gangsta Granny also joined in with the fun, as did the English Department (pictured below - can you tell who we are meant to be?).

Elsewhere, students tackled the library's Secret Reader challenge and tried to unveil the mystery teachers clutching their favourite novels in photographs dotted around the school.

World Book Day takes place every March. If you have any fun ideas for the next one, let your English teacher know!
