This term has been an exciting one for Putney's Young Reporters, who have been busy crafting stories as part of Newsquest's Young Reporter Scheme.

Alessia K captured the lively atmosphere of Parsons Green Dog Fair in her article Pups on Parade, complete with interviews with a sponsor, a vendor and the proud owner of the winning dog. Alessia reflects on how, "through reporting this event, I learned how to observe small details that really bring a scene to life". Zaria M explored sustainability in Slowing Down in a World of Fast Fashion, encouraging readers to rethink consumer habits, while her seasonal piece Greyhounds Get the Ghoul-On brought a playful twist to Halloween. Kitty W's reporting on why The UK Should Ban Everyone From Buying Fireworks covered the dangers of trying to manage firework displays outside properly organised events, while Mathilde SP delved into local heritage with Hidden History: St Mary's Church and celebrated our sports tradition in The Evolution of Putney High's Rowing

Putney's Young Reporters have engaged with community events and seasonal topics, honing their journalistic skills of research, editorial stance and newspaper writing. With more stories to come, the next term promises a fresh tranche of engaging journalism.
